LBS Stockholm — game developer program — 2020–2023

LBS is an upper secondary school in Stockholm with a game developer program. I studied there for three years, learning the basics of programming through C# and Unity while shipping several game projects.

Interstellar Taxi [arcade]

Made for an international game jam our school participated in, forming mixed teams with students from other countries. I was responsible for the main menu ship that follows the cursor, the Crazy Taxi-style directional arrow, some of the gameplay, and the passenger dialogue lines.

Strange Aeons [fps / fishing]

A first-person fishing game that turns into a first-person shooter. The premise: row your boat, fill your bucket in an atmospheric, dread-filled sea — then accidentally awaken a Lovecraftian Kraken and defend yourself with a rusty harpoon. Built in under two weeks, it was our most ambitious project and taught me a lot about scope. I was responsible for the boat physics, UI, fish bucket, harpoon, lantern, and Unity post-processing.

Klara [horror fps]

A first-person horror game made with 2 artists and 3 programmers. Inspired by DOOM and Resident Evil in roughly equal parts. This ended up being one of my favorite projects — I had more creative influence here than on anything else before TGA. I was responsible for the overall direction, the main menu, the visual side of Unity (pixel filter, post-processing, lighting), the flashlight, parts of the player movement, some level design, and the ending.

Astronova [shoot 'em up]

A classic vertical space shooter with a multi-phase boss. I originally built the base game, so this project was mostly about expanding the art, adding new features, and polishing what was already there. The boss with multiple attack patterns was the main addition.

Nya Stan [top-down action]

The first game I ever made. A 2D top-down action game with 3 levels, built part-time over a couple of weeks in Unity. Made with about 4 programmers and 2 artists, all completely new to programming and game development. I was responsible for the tile-based level design and some of the visuals, including bloom masks.
